Farndon & District Brass Band

Welcome to the new website for the Farndon & District Brass Band, or the Friendly band as we are known locally. It is perhaps fitting that we should choose this year, our 110th anniversary, to launch our updated and newly designed website.

Early accounts from the Malpas Deanery Magazine records the fact that the band was initially known as the Farndon Jubilee Band and was founded in 1897.

From those humble beginnings our main band has continued to flourish and now maintains a healthy training band for younger, as well as more mature players, and an Ensemble. The band is financially self-supporting and relies on the generosity of members, supporters and the general public and continues to be in great demand

for local engagements both big and small. We were proud to be a part of the spectacular Tsunami Appeal concert in Chester’s Northgate Arena, the Prom Praise Concerts at the Chester Cathedral, the Mayor’s Charity Christmas Concert in the Chester Town Hall...
