Last year Farndon Brass Band’s Quartet broadened into a Brass Ensemble to offer a greater range of options. It has since flourished under the direction of Malcolm Hayes who had worked with the Quartet for a number of years.
At the end of 2006 the Ensemble played in several of the Band’s concerts. |
Committee Meetings
All committee meetings take place at the Churton Village Hall on the second Tuesday
of the month and start at 7.30pm.
Farndon & District Brass Band 100 Club
It costs a great deal of money to run a band, and at Farndon we don’t charge a membership fee. For many years the 100 Club has been helping the band to raise much needed funds. To make people more aware of the 100 Club last year we launched the ‘Just a Quid campaign’. By joining not only will you be helping us to raise much needed funds for the band, but you will also be entered automatically in the monthly 100 Club draw, with three cash prizes to win each month. Anyone over 16 years of age can join the 100 Club, players, parents, friends and even grandparents can help the band to raise funds. The monthly draw is held during the Band’s rehearsal, as near as possible to the last Thursday of the month.
If you are interested in supporting the Band please contact me through the CONTACTS tab, or come along to one of the rehearsals and I or one of the other members of the committee will give you the simple form to complete.
Farndon & District Brass Band is a Registered Charity, number 517994.
